Personal Childhood Web

Personal Childhood Web

I had five wounderful people who I truley love for their support.

My Grandmother Joyce O’Neil, My grandfather Robert O’Neil, My father Eugene Green, My mother Evelyn Davis. Uncle Herbert O’Neil

My Grandmother Joyce O’Neil is a God fearing lady who work hard.. I lived with my grandmother for several years. I was taught how to be a young lady, and to God as my savior.  My feelings for my grandmother are so special because she took the time to teach me how to cook, sew and just to be a young lady. She was the youth director and she is now 84 and is still spending her precious time with young children at church. I love my grandmother I Thank God she is still around.

My grandfather Robert O’Neil was a very strong man who believed in God and always took the time to take me to all the sport events.  My father is a understanding man  and always in good spirt. He love take me on trips. He never was to busy to spend time with me, we would have long talk and about important life experiences.  He want me to be success and go to college somthing he did not do. My uncle was my favorite he was a coach so he would give us tickets to all the games. I use to look forward to get to go to the football games. He always said do your best and neverr give up.
My beatuiful mother died 10 years ago....she was my cheer leader she wanted me to finish college and be a teacher like her. Well, I never thought about it until she died and then I realize this would be a good idea. So, I still remember her saying you can do, if you can't I will help you.  Now 10 years later I have gotten my degree and working on being a teacher.

Ways their influence continues to impact your present life.

I always remember what I have been taught, and to know God is never sleep.

A current photograph of yourself or one of you as a young child

A quote about children, childhood, families, early childhood, etc. that is especially meaningful to you

While we try to teach our children all about life,
Our children teach us what life is all about.

~Angela Schwindt

The title of a children's book you love and what you love about it

Charlotte’s Web, This book gives a good example of courage and determination and love the fact the animals talk in the story this makes it so excited and fun.

A story about a child that touched your heart

I have several students this year that I work with and there is one student that really stands out. He is a young man who is about 6 years old and lives at a group home. I have really done some sole searching because he is so young and his parents don’t want him. He is acting out at school and everyone is afraid to deal with him. He has grown very close to me and I wish that I could take him home and adopt him. I never really thought about how it feels to not have any parents.

An image of a child's drawing, and why you chose it

Because it is a happy picture, it reminds me of a beautiful day after a good rain. I wish every day is bright and colorful.

Anything else that fuels your passion for the early childhood field

What fuels my passion to be in the early childhood field to help young children learn and be successful.  I feel that I am excited and enthused about this wonderful career.  These are the years that humans grow developmentally so learning is crucial during this time in their life. Early childhood field gives you the qualities to be an effective educator for this age group.
